Without equipment and supplies, attempting to administer even basic first aid (let alone great levels of medical attention) is nearly impossible. While there are a variety of “home remedies” and herbal type alternatives that are worthy for all who are interested to learn them, the easiest and most recommended way for handling such needs is through the use of modern medical supplies and skills.
For those of us, a contingency of medical supplies are necessary in being prepared to perform most forms of basic first aid. Think about it. Without some type of medical supplies, would you be able to properly dress a wound, relieve a headache, or temporarily relieve a cough? Most likely not.
Medical supplies are an essential part of emergency preparedness. In a true emergency situation, it is unlikely that we will be able to simply run down to the local drug store, and having these supplies could mean the difference between life and death.
